Welcome to Cold Spring Farm

Cold Springs Farm Campsite is a working farm located near to Buxton, a spa town at the heart of the Peak District National Park. The campsite provides lovely views across Buxton and the surrounding countryside. This is a basic campsite which is better suited for educational, Duke of Edinburgh Award, back packers and low maintenance campers. Buxton is less than an hour journey from the cities of Manchester, Sheffield, Stoke on Trent and Derby and an hour and a half from Nottingham. Set 1000 feet above sea level amidst the dramatic Peak district landscape, Buxton has been a popular holiday resort for centuries.

Update for 2017

Due to some bad experiences over recent years, we have had to make the following changes:

  • No children under 16, unless on an educational visit / supervised by adults
  • No Dogs
  • No Fishing
  • No Caravans
  • Basic Camping Facilities
  • Duke of Edinburgh Award / Well Organised Groups Welcome
  • We Welcome Stag Do / Hen Parties

Blessed with stunning scenery, magnificent architecture, a wealth of shops, thriving arts scene and its world-famous spa water, Buxton has plenty to offer any visitor.

The town is a 10-15 minute walk away and makes an ideal base for exploring the surrounding area including Chatsworth House and Estate, the Buxton Opera House and the scenic Pavilion Gardens.

Also just minutes from our campsite is the Goyt Valley which boasts a range of beautiful walks and a reservoir where you can fish and sail. There is a wealth of outdoor pursuits available in the Peak District that will surely keep you interested throughout your stay.
